Over the past nine months, the Steering Committee has led the development of Syracuse University’s Academic Strategic Plan Executive Summary. While the plan will be an all-University plan, it is understood to have the academic mission—inclusive of teaching, learning, and research—and the undergraduate and graduate student experience at its core. Through discovery research, focus groups, University-wide meetings, and more than 1,300 input points received, a condensed draft plan was developed and shared with the Board of Trustees. The Board agreed to the draft plan and approved moving forward.
With the draft plan complete, the University can begin to address its institutional priorities and move the University closer to achieving its vision and mission. The Executive Summary outlines a structure for institution-wide decision-making while charting a course forward.
